Forward Oil Sump Drain TubeSubtask 71-73-49-941-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

Subtask 71-73-49-020-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Forward Oil Sump Drain Tube
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain reservoir module to catch any oil remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the forward oil sump drain tube (20) from the manifold oil drain tube and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (20) to the bracket on the fan case.
(4) Disconnect the drain tube (20) from the forward sump drain.
(5) Remove the forward oil sump drain tube (20) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the forward sump fitting, and the drain tubes.
(7) Remove the container from below the drain reservoir module.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain reservoir module to catch any oil remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the forward oil sump drain tube (20) from the manifold oil drain tube and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (20) to the bracket on the fan case.
(4) Disconnect the drain tube (20) from the forward sump drain.
(5) Remove the forward oil sump drain tube (20) from the engine.
(6) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the forward sump fitting, and the drain tubes.
(7) Remove the container from below the drain reservoir module.
