A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

B. Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

Subtask 71-73-49-020-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Heat Exchanger Drain Tube
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fuel remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the heat exchanger drain tube (35) from the drain manifold module and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Disconnect the hydro mechanical unit and the fuel servos drain tubes (5) and (10) from the drain tube (35).
(4) Remove the bolt (25), the nut (30) and the clamp (20) that attach the drain tube (35) to the bracket near the fuel pump.
(5) Remove the bolt (25), the nut (30) and the clamp (20) that attach the drain tube (35) to the clamp on the fuel pump drain tube (15).
(6) Disconnect the drain tube (35) from the heat exchanger.
(7) Remove the heat exchanger drain tube (35) from the engine.
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the heat exchanger, the drain manifold module, and the drain tubes.
(9) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain mast to catch any fuel remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the heat exchanger drain tube (35) from the drain manifold module and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Disconnect the hydro mechanical unit and the fuel servos drain tubes (5) and (10) from the drain tube (35).
(4) Remove the bolt (25), the nut (30) and the clamp (20) that attach the drain tube (35) to the bracket near the fuel pump.
(5) Remove the bolt (25), the nut (30) and the clamp (20) that attach the drain tube (35) to the clamp on the fuel pump drain tube (15).
(6) Disconnect the drain tube (35) from the heat exchanger.
(7) Remove the heat exchanger drain tube (35) from the engine.
(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the heat exchanger, the drain manifold module, and the drain tubes.
(9) Remove the container from below the drain mast.
