Fuel Pump Drain TubesSubtask 71-73-49-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-73-49-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

Subtask 71-73-49-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Fuel Pump Drain Tubes
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain reservoir module to catch any fuel remaining in the tubes.
(2) Disconnect the fuel pump drain tube (20) from the drain reservoir module and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (20) to the bracket on the transfer gearbox.
(4) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (25) to the clamp on the heat exchanger drain tube (30).
(5) Disconnect the drain tube (25) from the drain tube (20).
(6) Remove the drain tube (20) from the engine.
(7) Disconnect the drain tube (25) from the fuel pump.
(8) Remove the drain tube (25) from the engine.
(9) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the drain reservoir module, the fuel pump, and the drain tubes (20) and (25).
(10) Remove the container from below the drain reservoir module.
(1) Put a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) below the drain reservoir module to catch any fuel remaining in the tubes.
(2) Disconnect the fuel pump drain tube (20) from the drain reservoir module and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (20) to the bracket on the transfer gearbox.
(4) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (15) and the clamp (5) that attach the drain tube (25) to the clamp on the heat exchanger drain tube (30).
(5) Disconnect the drain tube (25) from the drain tube (20).
(6) Remove the drain tube (20) from the engine.
(7) Disconnect the drain tube (25) from the fuel pump.
(8) Remove the drain tube (25) from the engine.
(9) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the drain reservoir module, the fuel pump, and the drain tubes (20) and (25).
(10) Remove the container from below the drain reservoir module.
