A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

4. Procedure
Subtask 71-71-43-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Drain Manifold Module
(1) Remove the protective covers from the drain tubes and the drain manifold module (20).
(2) Install the manifold module (20) on the engine brackets with the bolts (5), the washers (10), and the nuts (15).
(3) TORQUE the nuts (15) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )

(4) Connect:

CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.

(a) Connect the oil/hydraulic, the fuel, and the reservoir module tubes to the right side of the manifold module.
(b) Connect the heat exchanger, the fan case, and the oil tank scupper tubes to the left side of the manifold module.
(5) TORQUE the coupling nuts of the six drain tubes to between 315 and 300 lbf.in (3.56 and 3.39 m.daN )

(6) Remove fluids that may have collected around the manifold module and fittings with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(7) Install the drain mast (Ref. AMM TASK 71-71-42-400-041)

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040)

(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
