A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 71-71-43-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

A. Removal of the Drain Manifold Module
(1) Remove the drain mast (Ref. AMM TASK 71-71-42-000-041)
(2) Put the CONTAINER 20 L - SHALLOW below the drain manifold module to catch unwanted fluids.
(3) Disconnect:
(b) Disconnect the heat exchanger, the fan case, and the oil tank scupper tubes from the left side of the manifold module (20).
(4) Remove the bolts (5), the washers (10), and the nuts (15) that attach the manifold module (20) to the engine brackets.
(5) Remove the drain manifold module (20) from the engine.
(6) Install COVER - PROTECTION on the drain tubes and the module.
(1) Remove the drain mast (Ref. AMM TASK 71-71-42-000-041)
(2) Put the CONTAINER 20 L - SHALLOW below the drain manifold module to catch unwanted fluids.
(3) Disconnect:
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE FITTINGS WHEN YOU LOOSEN/TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
(a) Disconnect the oil/hydraulic, the fuel, and the reservoir module tubes from the right side of the drain manifold module (20). (b) Disconnect the heat exchanger, the fan case, and the oil tank scupper tubes from the left side of the manifold module (20).
(4) Remove the bolts (5), the washers (10), and the nuts (15) that attach the manifold module (20) to the engine brackets.
(5) Remove the drain manifold module (20) from the engine.
(6) Install COVER - PROTECTION on the drain tubes and the module.
