A. Safety Precautions
(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

4. Procedure

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

Subtask 71-61-13-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Inlet Cowl Ground Straps
(1) Remove the upper grounding strap (4).
(a) Remove the nut (3) that attaches the upper grounding strap (4) to the engine case flange.
(b) Remove the screw (1) and the two washers (2) that attach the upper grounding strap (4) to the ground bracket on the inlet cowl.
(c) Remove the upper grounding strap (4).
(2) Remove the right grounding strap (6).
(a) Remove the nut (5) that attaches the right grounding strap (6) to the screw on the engine case.
(b) Remove the screw (7) and the two washers (8) that attach the right grounding strap (6) to the ground bracket on the inlet cowl.
(c) Remove the right grounding strap (6).
(3) Remove the lower left grounding strap (9).
(a) Remove the nut (10) that attaches the lower left grounding strap (9) to the screw on the engine case.
(b) Remove the screw (12) and the two washers (11) that attach the lower left grounding strap (9) to the ground bracket on the inlet cowl.
(c) Remove the lower left grounding strap (9).
(4) Remove the lower grounding strap (13).
(a) Remove the nut (14) that attaches the lower grounding strap (13) to the screw on the engine case.
(b) Remove the screw (16) and the two washers (15) that attach the lower grounding strap (13) to the ground bracket on the inlet cowl.
(c) Remove the lower grounding strap (13).
(5) Remove the T2 lower grounding strap (17).
(a) Remove the aft bulkhead T2 panel. (Ref. AMM TASK 71-61-11-000-801)
(b) Remove the nut (26), four washers (19), washer (20) and screw (21) that attach the T2 probe grounding strap (17) to the T2 disconnect panel.
(c) Remove the nut (18), two washers (19) and screw (22) that attach the T2 probe grounding strap (17) to the T2 probe.
(d) Remove the bolt (23) and washer (24) that attach the clamp (25) and T2 probe grounding strap (17) to the upper T2 harness bracket.
(e) Remove the T2 probe grounding strap (17) and clamp (25) from the inlet cowl.
(f) Remove the clamp (25) from the T2 probe grounding strap (17).
