WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

Subtask 71-51-49-941-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010)
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
437AL 438AR
     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
447AL 448AR.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position to give access to the engine.
4. Procedure
Subtask 71-51-49-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
F Relay Box ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector 4100KS-A from the relay box receptacle.
   (2) Attach the disconnected harness to the primary harness (so the harnesses do not bend) with ties (Material No.V06-086) .
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connector 4100KS-E from the relay box.
   (4) Attach the disconnected harness to the mounting bracket (so the harness does not bend) with V06-086 ties.
   (5) Disconnect the electrical connectors 4100KS-B, 4100KS-C and 4100KS-D.
   (6) Attach the disconnected harness to the primary harness (so the harnesses do not bend) with ties (Material No.V06-086) .

B. Remove the relay box.
F Relay Box ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the nut (4), the washers (5) and the bolt (3) that attaches the bonding strap to the mounting bracket.
   (2) Remove the four bolts (1) and washers (2) that attach the relay box to the mounting bracket.
   (3) Remove the relay box.

C. Put the applicable COVER - PROTECTION on all of the electrical connectors and the electrical receptacles.
