Removal of the Forward Engine Mount System
CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THESE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE A RISK FOR THE FLIGHT SAFETY.

A. Removal of the Forward Engine Mount System
(a) Remove the nuts (20), bolts (5), washers (10 and 15) and retainers (25).
(b) Remove the bolts (35), washers (40), link assemblies (70), bushings (65), retainers (30), and nuts (45 or 47) from the support assemblies (75). The bushings (65) are part of the link assemblies (70). Keep the bushings (65) with the link assemblies (70).
(2) Disconnect the forward engine mount from the engine flange.
(a) Remove the bolts (50) and washers (60) that attach the forward engine mount to the engine flange.
(4) Remove the support assemblies (75) from the engine flange.
(a) Remove the shear pins (80), bolts (85, 90, 95), washers (100, 105, 110) and the support assemblies (75) from the engine flange.
WARNING:
THE FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 60.0 POUNDS (27,27 KG). MAKE SURE THAT YOU SAFELY SUPPORT THE FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT AND KEEP IT AWAY FROM OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Disconnect the forward engine mount from the support assemblies (75). (a) Remove the nuts (20), bolts (5), washers (10 and 15) and retainers (25).
(b) Remove the bolts (35), washers (40), link assemblies (70), bushings (65), retainers (30), and nuts (45 or 47) from the support assemblies (75). The bushings (65) are part of the link assemblies (70). Keep the bushings (65) with the link assemblies (70).
(2) Disconnect the forward engine mount from the engine flange.
(a) Remove the bolts (50) and washers (60) that attach the forward engine mount to the engine flange.
WARNING:
THE FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 60.0 POUNDS (27,27 KG). MAKE SURE THAT YOU SAFELY SUPPORT THE FORWARD ENGINE MOUNT AND KEEP IT AWAY FROM OTHER ENGINE COMPONENTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(3) Remove the forward engine mount from the engine. Safely support the forward engine mount and keep it away from other engine components. (4) Remove the support assemblies (75) from the engine flange.
(a) Remove the shear pins (80), bolts (85, 90, 95), washers (100, 105, 110) and the support assemblies (75) from the engine flange.
