Adjustment of the Front Mount Tube


WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
1. Reason for the Job
A. This task is for V2500-A1 and A5 engines.
B. This task gives instructions to adjust the front mount tube.
C. There are two methods to adjust the mount tube:
Method 1 requires removal of the power plant.
Method 2 requires unloading of the power plant.

4. Procedure

A. Adjust the front mount tube.
   (1) Attach the IAE1J12511 WRENCH to the hexagonal flange of the forward engine mount.
F Front Mount Tube Adjustment ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (2) Turn the front mount tube to its correct position using the special wrench.
   (3) Remove the special wrench.
