A. Safety Precautions
(1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open and safetied to the thrust reverser doors with the hold open brace.
(2) If not, open the fan cowl doors with the sling (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-805).
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open and safetied to the thrust reverser doors with the hold open brace.
(2) If not, open the fan cowl doors with the sling (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-805).
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position.

A. Removal of the Hold Open Rod (HOR) Bracket Bolts
(1) Remove the bolts from the HOR bracket assemblies on the left side of the engine.
(a) Remove the nut (3), washer (2) and bolt (1) from the fan cowl HOR bracket assembly.
(b) Remove the nut (3), washer (2) and bolt (4) from the thrust reverser HOR bracket assembly.
(2) Remove the bolts from the HOR bracket assemblies on the right side of the engine.
(a) Remove the nut (10), washer (11) and bolt (12) from the fan cowl HOR bracket assembly.
(b) Remove the nut (10), washer (11) and bolt (13) from the thrust reverser HOR bracket assembly.
(1) Remove the bolts from the HOR bracket assemblies on the left side of the engine.
(a) Remove the nut (3), washer (2) and bolt (1) from the fan cowl HOR bracket assembly.
(b) Remove the nut (3), washer (2) and bolt (4) from the thrust reverser HOR bracket assembly.
(2) Remove the bolts from the HOR bracket assemblies on the right side of the engine.
(a) Remove the nut (10), washer (11) and bolt (12) from the fan cowl HOR bracket assembly.
(b) Remove the nut (10), washer (11) and bolt (13) from the thrust reverser HOR bracket assembly.
