C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

A. Removal of the Pylon Fan Cowl Latch Proximity Sensor Harness
(1) Remove the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) (4145KS).
(a) Disconnect the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) (443VC-A) from the pylon interface.
(b) Disconnect the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) (4056VC-A) from the fan cowl proximity sensor harness.
(c) Loosen the bolt on the clamp (2).
(d) Turn the nut on the clamp (2) 1/4 of a turn and open the clamp (2).
(e) Remove the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) from the pylon.
(2) If necessary, remove the clamp (2).
(a) Remove the two bolts (3) and the two washers (4) that attach the clamp (2) to the TRAS harness disconnect bracket.
(b) Remove the clamp (2) from the TRAS harness disconnect bracket.
(3) Installation of the protection covers
(1) Remove the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) (4145KS).
(a) Disconnect the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) (443VC-A) from the pylon interface.
(b) Disconnect the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) (4056VC-A) from the fan cowl proximity sensor harness.
(c) Loosen the bolt on the clamp (2).
(d) Turn the nut on the clamp (2) 1/4 of a turn and open the clamp (2).
(e) Remove the pylon fan cowl latch proximity sensor harness (1) from the pylon.
(2) If necessary, remove the clamp (2).
(a) Remove the two bolts (3) and the two washers (4) that attach the clamp (2) to the TRAS harness disconnect bracket.
(b) Remove the clamp (2) from the TRAS harness disconnect bracket.
(3) Installation of the protection covers
CAUTION:
INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(a) Make sure that you install COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
