2 Remove the damaged baulk bracket assembly (7).
(4) For CONFIGURATION 1:
(a) Install the new baulk bracket assembly (2) as follows:
1 Attach the new baulk bracket assembly (2) to the fan cowl and the latch housing. Use the four pins (3) and the four nuts (1). Wet install the pins (3) with the sealant (Material No.PU3-0004) or the alternate sealant (Material No.PU3-0004A) .
2 TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 90 and 75 lbf.in (1.02 and 0.85 m.daN )
.
3 Make sure that the heads of the pins (3) are less than 0.0040 in. (0.1 mm) above the surface of the fan cowl. If the head of a pin is above 0.0040 in. (0.1 mm), remove the baulk bracket assembly (2) and do step 4.A.(4)(a)1_ thru step 4.A.(4)(a)3_ again.
4 Make sure that the heads of the pins (3) are less than 0.0098 in. (0.25 mm) below the surface of the fan cowl. If the head of a pin is below 0.0098 in. (0.25 mm), fill the distance with the PR-2001 rapid cure fuel tank sealant (Material No.PU3-0005) or the sealant (Material No.PU3-0008) .
