WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead panel, on panel 22VU, make sure that th DUAL COOLING control switch is set to the OFF position before the start of this procedure.
(4) On the overhead panel, on maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off).
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
At zone 431.
(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
At zone 441.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
At zone 431.
(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
At zone 441.

A. Depreservation of the Air Intake Cowl Lipskin after Storage
(1) Make sure that you remove and install all the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(2) Make sure that you wipe clean all parts and tools as necessary to remove unwanted debris and prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(3) Remove the protective coating from the air intake cowl lipskin:
(a) Remove the tapes and the peel off the protective coating with your hands. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer if necessary.
(b) Remove the protective coating. You can use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to help you. Do not use tools harder than the aluminum lipskin to prevent damage.
(c) Clean the surface of the air intake cowl lipskin with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and theV01-012 isopropyl alcohol (CH3)2 CHOH .
(d) Remove theV01-012 isopropyl alcohol (CH3)2 CHOH with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) before the solvent dries.
(4) Do a general visual inspection of the air intake cowl lipskin.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that you remove and install all the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(2) Make sure that you wipe clean all parts and tools as necessary to remove unwanted debris and prevent damage to the engine and adjacent components.
(3) Remove the protective coating from the air intake cowl lipskin:
(a) Remove the tapes and the peel off the protective coating with your hands. Refer to the instructions of the manufacturer if necessary.
(b) Remove the protective coating. You can use the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to help you. Do not use tools harder than the aluminum lipskin to prevent damage.
(c) Clean the surface of the air intake cowl lipskin with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and the
