C. Cleaning
   (1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with cleaning fluid (Material No.V01-002) to clean the mating surfaces of these parts:
     (a) The guide bar
     (b) The locator body
     (c) The shim
     (d) The guide angle
     (e) The throat washer
     (f) The bracket
     (g) The guide (Post SB71-0259)
4. Procedure
Subtask 71-11-11-210-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Do a dimensional check of the Fan Cowl Locator.
NOTE: Make sure that the task (Ref. AMM TASK 71-11-11-000-011) has been completed. The shim configuration must be recorded and you must also keep the locator body (6) to use in this Para 4. A.
F Fan Cowl Locator ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) On the used locator body:
     (a) Measure the dimension A. Record this as A1.
     (b) Measure the dimension B. Record this as B1.
NOTE: Make sure that the surface on which the measurement is being done has not been worn or damaged.
     (c) Calculate C1 as the difference between A1 and B1 (C1=A1-B1) and record it.
   (2) On the new locator body:
     (a) Measure the dimension A. Record this as A2.
     (b) Measure the dimension B. Record this as B2.
     (c) Calculate C2 as the difference between A2 and B2 (C2=A2-B2) and record it.
   (3) Use the same locator body shim(s) (7) configuration as recorded during the removal task.
     (a) The dimension C1-C2 gives the thickness.
1 Remove the necessary shim(s) (7) if the number is negative, or add if result is positive.
2 Change the thickness calculated into the necessary number of shim(s) (7) to add or to remove.
       3 Use the new shim(s) (7) configuration in 4.B.
Subtask 71-11-11-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
