A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
   (2) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
   (4) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the applicable zone 571(671).
   (2) Remove the applicable overwing panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-42-000-002).
4. Procedure

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , to clean the applicable inspection area.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Trailing-Edge Overwing-Panel Fittings
   (1) Examine and make sure that:
  • There is no damage
  • There are no cracks or scores
  • There is no corrosion
  • The surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575121 for the correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up
Subtask 57-51-00-410-091-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the applicable overwing panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-42-400-002).
   (3) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-080-002).
   (4) Fully retract the flaps (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
