A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable zone 500 (600).

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean applicable area for inspection.

B. General Visual Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower Surface, Aft of Rear Spar between Rib 1 and Rib 9, Excluding Areas Covered by Flap Track 2 Fairings and Pylon Fairings
   (1) Do an inspection and make sure that:
  • there is no damage
  • there are no cracks
  • there is no corrosion
  • the paint finish is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.

B. General Visual Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower Surface, Aft of Rear Spar between Rib 1 and Rib 9, Excluding Areas Covered by Flap Track 2 Fairings, Pylon Fairings and Flap Tab Drive 1a Fairings
   (1) Do an inspection and make sure that:
  • there is no damage
  • there are no cracks
  • there is no corrosion
  • the paint finish is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 575100 for the correct repair procedure.

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the safety barriers.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
