Subtask 57-21-00-941-087-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps, the slats or the ailerons.

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable zone 500(600), 540(640), 550(650), 560(660).

A. Preparation for Inspection
   (1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the applicable area for inspection.
Subtask 57-21-00-210-085-A
B. General Visual Inspection of Outer Wing, Bottom Skin Lower Surface, around Access Door Cutouts in All Bays, between Rib 13 and Rib 27
   (1) Do an inspection and make sure that:
  • there is no damage
  • there are no cracks
  • there is no corrosion
  • the paint finish is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the safety barriers.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
   (5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
