3. Job Set-up
Subtask 57-21-00-941-066-A

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
(4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the wing fuel tank, zone 540 (640).

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-21-00-110-065-A

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Clean the lower surface of the bottom skin at the attachments to the front spar and the rear spar (RIBS 15 thru 22). Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . It is not necessary to clean the area closed by the flap-track 4 fairing.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the lower surface of the bottom skin at the attachments to the front spar and the rear spar (RIBS 15 thru 22). It is not necessary to examine the areas closed by the flap track 4 fairing.
Make sure that:

there is no corrosion or damage
there are no scratches or scores
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
the surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

5. Close-up
Subtask 57-21-00-942-065-A

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
