A. Safety Precautions
(1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S)S in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at the wing leading edge, zone 522 (622).
(2) Remove the overwing refuel adapter (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-43-000-001).

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the area around the manual refuel opening.

B. Detailed Inspection of Outer Wing, Top Skin, Upper Surface Around Manual Refuelling Aperture, Between RIB19 and RIB20
(1) Make a detailed inspection of:

- the wing top skin surface (2) adjacent to the manual refuel opening
- the interface between the overwing refuel adapter (1) and the wing top skin surface (2).
- there is no damage to the edge of the hole
- there are no cracks in the adjacent area
- there is no corrosion
- the paint finish is in the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, refer to the SRM 572100 for the correct repair procedure.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the overwing refuel adapter (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-43-400-001).

(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
