CAUTION: DO NOT USE SHARP AND/OR METALLIC TOOLS OR OBJECTS TO REMOVE/INSTALL THE WINDSHIELD OR A WINDOW. DO NOT USE A LEVER AGAINST THE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD OR WINDOW. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WINDSHIELD OR WINDOW.

1. Reason for the Job
NOTE: Two persons are necessary for this procedure.
NOTE: This procedure is applicable to:
  • The acrylic fixed windows (GKN supplier, P/N NH...)
  • The glass fixed windows (PPG supplier, P/N NP...)
  • The glass fixed windows (SGS supplier, P/Ns SPSA320-9-X-X and SPSA320-10-X- X only).

A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 210, in front of the fixed window.

4. Procedure
Subtask 56-11-12-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Fixed Window
   (1) Removal of the lining panel:
     (a) Removal of the lateral lining panel:
       1 FOR [7DG1] (WINDOW-FIXED, L)
  • Remove the screws (3).
  • Loosen the fasteners (4).
  • Remove panel 211KW (5).
       2 FOR [7DG2] (WINDOW-FIXED, R)
  • Loosen the fasteners (1).
  • Remove panel 212KW.
     (b) Remove the screws (6) and the washers (7).
     (c) Loosen the fasteners (2).
     (d) Remove the lateral lining panel (8).
   (2) Removal of the fixed window assembly:
     (a) Disconnect the sensor (11) from the receptacle (14).
     (b) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connector.
     (c) Remove the screws (12).
     (d) Remove the fixed window assembly (13).
     (e) When you remove the fixed window, record the data in the IN-SERVICE WINDOW REMOVAL DATA GATHERING form to help Airbus continue to monitor it.
