Subtask 55-40-00-210-055-A
A. Special Detailed Inspection
NOTE: Do the inspection procedures which follow in the sequence given below.
   (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the bonding layer between rudder side panel honeycomb structure and external skins of the rudder side panels, LH/RH.
NOTE: Use the ELCH-inspection of LH/RH Ruddershells as per NTM 554009 (use NTM 511026).
NOTE: If you apply high pressure with your hand to the rudder composite side-panels:
  • It is possible to hear a noise with the sound of a "click" from the honeycomb core.
This noise has no effect on the condition of the rudder. The rudder is servicable, if no delamination or debonding is found during the inspection procedure.
   (2) If you find damage, refer to the ASRM SRM 55410001 for the necessary data.
