WARNING: THIS PROCEDURE IS IN A CATEGORY KNOWN AS A CRITICAL DESIGN CONFIGURATION CONTROL LIMITATION (CDCCL). YOU MUST KEEP ALL CDCCL ITEMS IN THE APPROVED CONFIGURATION. MAKE SURE THAT THE WEIGHT OF THE ELEVATOR IS IN THE SPECIFIED LIMITS.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION: USE THIS PROCEDURE ONLY FOR THE SURFACE AREA SPECIFIED. IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO PAINT THE TOTAL SURFACE OF THE ELEVATOR WHEN THE ELEVATOR IS INSTALLED ON THE AIRCRAFT. IT MUST BE OFF THE AIRCRAFT AND SENT TO THE WORKSHOP.
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.

   (1) Put the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
   (2) Install the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR or 98D27309009004 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR on the servocontrol elevators.

D. Safety Precautions
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 330 for the left hand elevator and/or zone 340 for the right hand elevator.
4. Procedure

A. Painting of the elevator
NOTE: Do this procedure when the area to paint is lower than 150000 mm2 (232.50 in.2).
   (1) Remove the old paint from the area affected (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-11-100-002).
   (2) Repair the minor paint damages (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-12-300-003).

A. Remove Locking Devices
   (1) Remove the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING from the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE "COLLAR-ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL SAFETY" BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE THE ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE COLLAR, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELEVATOR SERVO CONTROL.
   (2) Remove the 98D27309009003 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR or 98D27309009004 COLLAR-DEPTH ACTUATOR from the servocontrol elevators.

B. Remove Ground Equipment
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
