A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the THS pitch trim control is set at neutral position
   (2) Install the suport strut 98D27407502000 SUPPORT STRUT-R I,THS ACTUATOR to set the THS at zero position.
   (3) Depressurize the Yellow and Green hidraulic systems. (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).

C. Safety Precautions
   (1) Install the 0U190360 PIN-RIGGING,THS ACTUATOR,MECHANICAL INPUT LEVER in the mechanical input of the THS actuator.
   (2) Install the 0U190834 TOOL-ZERO POSITIONING,THS ACTUATOR to set the THS actuator at zero positon.
   (3) Put the 98D27903500000 PIN-SIDE STICK LOCKING in the CAPT and F/O side stick controllers.
   (4) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in the flight compartment to tell the persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (5) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell the persons not to operate the hydraulic systems.
   (6) Do an inspection of the componet interface and/or the adjacent area.

D. Get access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position at zone 311,312.
   (2) open the access door 312AR.
4. Procedure

A. Removal to get access
   (1) Remove the primary lower attachment of the THS actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 27-44-51-000-001).
Subtask 55-16-34-020-050-A
B. Removal of the Attach Fittings Bearings of the THS Actuator Arm
   (1) Remove the nut retainer (1) with the 98D27409007000 WRENCH GROOVE NUT.
   (2) Remove the washer retainer (2).
   (3) Push the bushes (3) and (10) to remove the bush bearing assembly.
   (4) Remove the nut retainers (6) and (7) with the 98D27409006000 WRENCH GROOVE NUT.
   (5) Remove and discard the washer retainers (4) and (8).
   (6) Remove the bearings (5) and (9).
