A. Preparation for Installation:
(1) Clean the mating surfaces of the fairing with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC , Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) and Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surfaces of the fairing (2).
Subtask 53-55-11-420-050-A (1) Clean the mating surfaces of the fairing with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC , Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) and Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surfaces of the fairing (2).
B. Installation of the fairings 323AL 323AR
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the fairing (2) in position.

(4) Make sure that the clearance 'a' is 1.0 +1.0 mm or -1.0 mm (0.0394 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.) between the fairing (2), the dorsal fin (3) and the rudder fairing (4).
(5) Make sure that the clearance 'c' is 10.0 +3.5 mm or -3.5 mm (0.3937 +0.1378 in. or -0.1378 in.) between the fairing (2) and the fuselage.
(6) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the edges of the fairing (2).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the fairing (2) in position.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(3) Install the screws (1) and TORQUE to between 0.4 and 0.3 m.daN (35.40 and 26.55 lbf.in )
. (4) Make sure that the clearance 'a' is 1.0 +1.0 mm or -1.0 mm (0.0394 +0.0394 in. or -0.0394 in.) between the fairing (2), the dorsal fin (3) and the rudder fairing (4).
(5) Make sure that the clearance 'c' is 10.0 +3.5 mm or -3.5 mm (0.3937 +0.1378 in. or -0.1378 in.) between the fairing (2) and the fuselage.
(6) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the edges of the fairing (2).

A. Close Access
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
