A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft is in the same configuration as for the removal task.
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-42-17-916-050-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Remove the sealant from the bulk cargo-compartment floor-panels (2) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (2) Clean the component interface and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) For each bulk cargo-compartment floor panel (2) which has adhesive tapes (8) that are not in the correct condition:
     (a) Remove the adhesive tapes (8) from the bulk cargo-compartment floor panel (2).
     (b) Discard the adhesive tapes (8).
     (c) Clean the areas from which you removed the adhesive tapes (8) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (d) Apply the new Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (8) or the new Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) (8) on the bulk cargo-compartment floor-panels (2).
NOTE: The removal of the Sealing Profile-Seat Rail Self Adhesive - I shape (Material No.14JMB1) is easy.
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you use the same adhesive tape (8) for all the bulk cargo-compartment floor-panels (2).
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you use the same adhesive tape (8) for all the edges of each bulk cargo-compartment floor-panel (2).
   (6) If necessary, apply the new Double Sided Adhesive Tape-Floor panel height compensation Silicone - (Material No.05PBD1) on the bulk cargo-compartment floor-panels (2).
NOTE: This keeps the offset between the adjacent bulk cargo-compartment floor-panels (2) to a minimum.

B. Installation of the Bulk Cargo-Compartment Floor-Panels
NOTE: Before installation, it is mandatory to remove the peel ply from the cargo floor panels.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Put the floor panels (2) and the seals (3), (5), (6) and (7) in position as follows:
     (a) Make sure that the seals (3), (5), (6) and (7) are in correct condition.
     (b) If not, put the new seals (3), (5), (6) and (7) in position.
     (c) Clean the new seals (3), (5), (6) and (7) to remove dust and dirt before installation.
   (3) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) in the holes at the end of each seal to a minimum distance of 40 mm (1.5748 in.) from the edge of the seal.
   (4) Make sure that all the seal intersections are flush with each other.
   (5) Apply the zinc chromate putty Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the screws (1).
   (6) Install the screws (1).
   (7) Torque the screws (1) to between 0.42 and 0.37 m.daN (37.17 and 32.74 lbf.in ) T.
   (8) Install the cord (4) FIBER GLASS CORD 1.1MM DIA. (DAN107-1) in the spaces between the floor panels (2).
   (9) Make a loop at the end of the cord. This will help with the subsequent removal procedure.
   (10) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.
06AAC1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Gap Filler Easily Removed - - (Material No.06AHG1) in the spaces between the floor panels (2) and the cutouts of the tiedown positions.
5. Close-up
Subtask 53-42-17-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 53-42-17-410-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) For panel 162KF install the proximity switch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-71-12-400-003).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Close the BULK cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
