(1) Examine the seals on the panels you removed. If necessary, replace them.
(2) Examine the support structure and make sure that the riveted seals are attached correctly.

D. Cleaning of Component.

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

(1) Clean and degrease the washers (2) (to the bare metal) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .

4. Procedure
Subtask 53-25-11-390-050-B

A. Sealing
(1) Remove the old sealants along FR34 with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.

Fairing - Left Access Panels ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Fairing - Right Access Panels ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Fairing - Left Access Panels ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

Fairing - Right Access Panels ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Put the fairings (3) in position.
(3) Temporarily attach the fairings (3) with four screws (1) and washers (2) at the locating holes (4).
(4) TORQUE the four screws to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(5) Install the remaining screws (1) and washers (2) in position.
(6) Do a visual check to make sure that the seals touch the fuselage and/or the edges of the wings.
(7) TORQUE all the screws (1) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

C. Application of Sealant

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

(1) Apply a fillet of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) to get a smooth contour.
(2) Let the sealant becomes dry.
