A. Get Access
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the damaged access door.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Before you start the deactivation procedure, make sure that the fluid level in the hydraulic fluid reservoir is correct.
   (2) If necessary, fill the hydraulic fluid reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-42-00-040-054-A
A. Deactivation of the Access Door
   (1) Remove the remaining part of the damaged access door:
   (2) Attach the remaining support link temporarily to the adjacent belly fairing structure.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) Use Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the belly fairing around the cutout of the access door.
   (5) Apply three layers of the high-speed tape, Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , to the cutout of the access door as follows:
NOTE: The replacement of the high-speed tape, Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , is necessary after three days.
NOTE: It is permitted to use the tape, Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - Sound damping - (Material No.05RAC1) , as an alternative of the high-speed tape, Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) , to deactivate access door 197CB.
     (a) Apply the first layer longitudinally across the cutout of the access door.
     (b) Apply the second layer diagonally on the first layer. Make sure that there is an overlap of each tape strip.
     (c) Apply the third layer diagonally opposite to the second layer. Make sure that there is an overlap of each tape strip.
   (6) If the reactivation of the access door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-42-00-440-802) is not done in 7 days, do the inspection of the integrity of the high speed tape SRM 517712.
