Subtask 52-31-31-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) is opened and safetied with the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the opened cargo door.
Subtask 52-31-31-865-054-A (1) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door (referred to as cargo door) is opened and safetied with the actuator safety locks (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position below the opened cargo door.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Examine the stop bolts (1) and the nuts (2) for the correct condition.
(6) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the mating surface of the tab washers (3).
(7) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the stop bolts (1).
Subtask 52-31-31-420-051-A (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Examine the stop bolts (1) and the nuts (2) for the correct condition.
NOTE: If necessary, replace the components.
(5) Assemble the nuts (2) and the new AIPC 52-31-11-10-170 TAB WASHERS (3) on the stop bolts (1). (6) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the mating surface of the tab washers (3).
(7) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the stop bolts (1).
B. Installation of the Stop Bolts
(1) Install the stop bolts (1) with the new tab washers (3) and the nuts (2) in the threaded inserts.
(2) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Make sure that the skin offset between the cargo door and the fuselage contour is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-31-11-820-001).
(4) Measure the clearance between the head of the stop bolts (1) and the stop fittings of the door sill area.
(5) Adjust the stop bolts (1) so that the clearance is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.).
(6) Tighten the nuts (2) and safety them with the tab washers (3).
5. Close-up(1) Install the stop bolts (1) with the new tab washers (3) and the nuts (2) in the threaded inserts.
(2) Remove the actuator safety locks and close the cargo door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Make sure that the skin offset between the cargo door and the fuselage contour is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 52-31-11-820-001).
(4) Measure the clearance between the head of the stop bolts (1) and the stop fittings of the door sill area.
(5) Adjust the stop bolts (1) so that the clearance is between 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) and 0.5 mm (0.0197 in.).
(6) Tighten the nuts (2) and safety them with the tab washers (3).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to the stop bolts and to the adjacent cargo door structure.
(3) Make sure that the FWD cargo door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to the stop bolts and to the adjacent cargo door structure.
(3) Make sure that the FWD cargo door is correctly closed and locked (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
