WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU OPEN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR, RECORD ON THE WORK CARD ON THE DOOR, THE DATE AND TIME WHEN YOU OPENED IT. IF THE CARGO COMPARTMENT DOOR STAYS OPEN FOR 12 HOURS OR MORE, YOU MUST BLEED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM RELATED TO IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS, THE DOOR CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SET THE DOOR TO "CLOSE". THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR AND TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.

A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below FWD cargo compartment door 825.
(2) Open the FWD cargo compartment door and safety it with the actuator safety lock (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-31-11-110-052-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below FWD cargo compartment door 825.
(2) Open the FWD cargo compartment door and safety it with the actuator safety lock (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
B. Preparation of the Inspection Area
(1) Make sure that the inspection area is sufficiently clean to do a satisfactory inspection of the area.
(2) If necessary, clean the inspection area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .

A. Inspection
(1) Do a general visual inspection of the actuator fittings of the forward cargo compartment door for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:
(a) Corrosion damage:
If you find corrosion, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 512200) for the corrosion types, inspection, removal and subsequent corrosion protection.
(b) Other damage (scratches, cracks, gouges, dents, creases):
If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual ( SRM 511100) for the damage types, classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up(1) Do a general visual inspection of the actuator fittings of the forward cargo compartment door for damage or discontinuities.
(2) Make sure that there is no:

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the actuator safety lock and close the FWD cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
