Subtask 51-77-11-918-054-A
A. Prepare a Corrosion-Resistent Steel Doubler
   (1) If the specific repair data does not give a doubler thickness, the doubler thickness is as follows:
     (a) For a skin thickness up to 3 mm (0.1181 in.), the doubler thickness is 1.5 mm (0.0591 in.).
   (2) For a skin thickness over 3 mm (0.1181 in.), the doubler thickness is half of the skin thickness.
     (a) Cut the doubler from corrosion-resistant steel sheet to the necessary dimensions.
     (b) Make a chamfer on the edges of the doubler.
     (c) If necessary, shape and form the doubler to match the contours of the composite structure.
NOTE: The gap between the doubler and the composite structure must not exceed 0.3 mm (0.0118 in.).
