A. Get access to the area of the damage.

A. Inspection Procedure of Minor Damage
(1) Clean the area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) With a PIPETTE , apply 3 or 4 drops of the test solution to the minor damage.
(5) Let the solution take effect for 1 to 3 minutes. If the minor damage has gone through the aluminum cladding, the exposed alloy will go black/ brown, the cladding will not change color.
(6) Flush the test area with clean water before the solution dries.
(7) Neutralize the area with a 5 % chromic oxide solution.
(8) Flush the test area with clean water.
(9) Dry the area with a HOT AIR SOURCE.
5. Close-up(1) Clean the area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
WARNING:
DO NOT APPLY ADHESIVE TAPE ON THE PROBES, DUCTS, SENSORS (STATIC, PITOT, TAT, AOA). USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED TOOLS FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE SPECIFIED TOOLS:
(2) Cover the area adjacent to the minor damage with TAPE - MASKING and PAPER - MASKING. - GIVE THE CORRECT PROTECTION TO THE AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENT,
- ARE EASY TO SEE FROM THE GROUND,
- ARE EASY TO REMOVE.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET THE TEST SOLUTION ENTER JOINTS OR GO BELOW RIVET HEADS. THE TEST SOLUTION CAN CAUSE CORROSION.
(3) Make a test solution with 20 g (0.71 oz), potassium nitrate, 10 g (0.35 oz) sodium hydroxide 0.01 l (0.0026 USgal) distilled water. (4) With a PIPETTE , apply 3 or 4 drops of the test solution to the minor damage.
(5) Let the solution take effect for 1 to 3 minutes. If the minor damage has gone through the aluminum cladding, the exposed alloy will go black/ brown, the cladding will not change color.
(6) Flush the test area with clean water before the solution dries.

(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
