B. Gain Access
(1) Put the access platform below the APU compartment.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL 316AR.

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Remove the support clamps, disconnect the following drain lines from the engine components and the drain mast:

- combuster drain
- exhaust muffler drain
- air by-pass plenum drain
- IGV actuator seal
- fuel control unit seal
- oil pump seal
- forward bearing seal witness drain
- bleed control valve seal drain
B. Inspection of the Drains
(2) Examine the drain lines and connectors for cracks, distortion, kinks, and damaged threads. Any such damaged lines must be repaired or replaced.
(3) Examine the drain mast for damage and cleanliness. No damage is permitted. Clean as necessary.
Subtask 49-17-00-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:
(1) Examine the drain lines and all apertures for blockage. Any blockage must be cleared by blowing through with dry compressed air. - USE THE CORRECT PROTECTION (FACE SHIELD OR GOGGLES)
- DO NOT POINT THE AIRFLOW AT YOURSELF OR OTHER PERSONS.
(2) Examine the drain lines and connectors for cracks, distortion, kinks, and damaged threads. Any such damaged lines must be repaired or replaced.
(3) Examine the drain mast for damage and cleanliness. No damage is permitted. Clean as necessary.
C. Installation of the drain tubes
(1) Install the tubes and support clamps previously removed as detailed in paragraph 3.A.
(2) Torque all the tube nuts to between 3.39 and 3.05 m.daN (25.00 and 22.49 lbf.ft )

(3) Torque all support clamp bolts to between 0.495 and 0.405 m.daN (43.81 and 35.84 lbf.in )

5. Close-up(1) Install the tubes and support clamps previously removed as detailed in paragraph 3.A.
(2) Torque all the tube nuts to between 3.39 and 3.05 m.daN (25.00 and 22.49 lbf.ft )
. (3) Torque all support clamp bolts to between 0.495 and 0.405 m.daN (43.81 and 35.84 lbf.in )

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
