A. Preparation for Build-up
(1) Remove the AIPC 49-11-09-01-010 AUXILIARY POWER UNIT (0) from the transport container.
(2) Install the APU on the 98D49207527000 SUPPORT FRAME FOR APU WITH TROLLEY98D49209001000 APU SUPPORT FRAME98D49209002000 APU INST TROLLEY98D49209002001 APU INST TROLLEY.
4. Procedure(1) Remove the AIPC 49-11-09-01-010 AUXILIARY POWER UNIT (0) from the transport container.
(2) Install the APU on the 98D49207527000 SUPPORT FRAME FOR APU WITH TROLLEY98D49209001000 APU SUPPORT FRAME98D49209002000 APU INST TROLLEY98D49209002001 APU INST TROLLEY.
Subtask 49-11-11-420-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the APU Mount Brackets
(a) Carefully put the49110901-040 FWD APU MOUNT BRACKET (LH) 3 and the 49110901-050 FWD APU MOUNT BRACKET (RH) 9 in position on the mount pad at the LH/RH side of the APU gearbox. Make sure that the spigot is correctly engaged in the APU.
(b) Install the 4 AIPC 49-11-09-01-070 BOLTS (1) at each of the FWD APU mount bracket (3) and (9).
(c) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 3.0 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft )

(d) Safety the bolts (1) with14QEB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(e) Install the one AIPC 49-11-09-01-090 SETSCREW (8) at each of the FWD APU mount-bracket (3) and (9) and lock it in position with the AIPC 49-11-09-01-110 NUT (7).
(f) Remove any contamination from the contact areas of the bonding strap.
(g) Install one AIPC 49-12-04-03-160 BONDING STRAP (6), a AIPC 49-11-09-01-100 WASHER (4) and a AIPC 49-11-09-01-120 NUT (5) on each setscrew (8).
(h) Apply Varnish Polyurethane-- Marking Structure (Material No.04SAB2) on the nuts (5) and (7) and the setscrews (8).
(2) Install the rear APU mount-bracket.
(a) Carefully put the AIPC 49-11-09-01-060 REAR APU MOUNT BRACKET (2) in position on the rear mount pad.
(b) Attach the rear APU mount-bracket (2) to the APU with the 4 AIPC 49-11-09-01-070 BOLTS (1).
(c) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 3.0 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft )

(d) Safety the bolts (1) with14QEB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 49-11-11-420-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Installation the FWD left and the FWD right APU mount-brackets. (a) Carefully put the

(c) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 3.0 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft )

(e) Install the one AIPC 49-11-09-01-090 SETSCREW (8) at each of the FWD APU mount-bracket (3) and (9) and lock it in position with the AIPC 49-11-09-01-110 NUT (7).
(f) Remove any contamination from the contact areas of the bonding strap.
(g) Install one AIPC 49-12-04-03-160 BONDING STRAP (6), a AIPC 49-11-09-01-100 WASHER (4) and a AIPC 49-11-09-01-120 NUT (5) on each setscrew (8).
(h) Apply Varnish Polyurethane-- Marking Structure (Material No.04SAB2) on the nuts (5) and (7) and the setscrews (8).
(2) Install the rear APU mount-bracket.
(a) Carefully put the AIPC 49-11-09-01-060 REAR APU MOUNT BRACKET (2) in position on the rear mount pad.
(b) Attach the rear APU mount-bracket (2) to the APU with the 4 AIPC 49-11-09-01-070 BOLTS (1).
(c) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 3.0 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft )

B. Installation of the APU Generator
(1) Install the seal plate (23):
(a) Lubricate the seals (29) and (30) of the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-040 SEAL PLATE (23) with a thin layer of the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
(b) Put the seal plate (23) and the seal (29) for the oil scavenge port in the 6 o'clock position on the flange of the APU generator (21).
(c) Make sure that the dowel pin (28) engages correctly with the pilot hole (27).
(d) Lubricate the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-030 COUNTERSUNK SCREWS (26) with the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) and install them.
(2) Install the APU generator (21):
(a) Lubricate the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-010 PREFORMED PACKING (22) and the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-010 SEAL (25) with a thin layer of the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
(b) If the generator cover (1) is installed on the APU:
1 Remove and discard the nuts (2) from the generator cover (1).
(e) Make sure that the dowel pin (28) fully engages in the mounting flange of the accessory drive gearbox.
(f) TORQUE the nuts (24) as follows:
(h) Clean the nuts (24) of the APU generator with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(i) Use the Varnish Polyurethane-- Marking Structure (Material No.04SAB2) to make marks on the generator nuts (24) that you tightened.
5. Close-up(1) Install the seal plate (23):
(a) Lubricate the seals (29) and (30) of the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-040 SEAL PLATE (23) with a thin layer of the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
(b) Put the seal plate (23) and the seal (29) for the oil scavenge port in the 6 o'clock position on the flange of the APU generator (21).
(c) Make sure that the dowel pin (28) engages correctly with the pilot hole (27).
(d) Lubricate the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-030 COUNTERSUNK SCREWS (26) with the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) and install them.
(2) Install the APU generator (21):
(a) Lubricate the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-010 PREFORMED PACKING (22) and the new AIPC 24-23-04-01-010 SEAL (25) with a thin layer of the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) or the Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine Low Temp. - (Material No.03ABB1) .
(b) If the generator cover (1) is installed on the APU:
1 Remove and discard the nuts (2) from the generator cover (1).
NOTE: The nuts (2) are only for the transportation and the storage of the APU.
2 Remove the generator cover (1).WARNING:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THREADS OF THE SET SCREWS WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE GENERATOR.
THE GENERATOR WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 23kg (50.7lb).
(c) Install the generator (21): - Install the seal (25) on the generator splined drive-shaft and the preformed packing (22) on the generator mount flange.
(e) Make sure that the dowel pin (28) fully engages in the mounting flange of the accessory drive gearbox.
(f) TORQUE the nuts (24) as follows:
- For P/N NAS1291C6M to between 3.0 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft )

- For P/N MS21043-6 to between 4.4 and 3.9 m.daN (32.45 and 28.76 lbf.ft )
.
(h) Clean the nuts (24) of the APU generator with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(i) Use the Varnish Polyurethane-- Marking Structure (Material No.04SAB2) to make marks on the generator nuts (24) that you tightened.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-11-11-400-004).
