A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
   (2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) at the AFT cargo-compartment door.
   (3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to ON.
   (4) Remove access panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

C. Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-42-51-020-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Compressor 8MD
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the compressor (4).
   (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (3) Disconnect the pipe-connection (6) from the compressor (4).
   (4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (5) Remove the nuts (1), the washers (2), the bolts (7) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
   (6) Remove the compressor (4) from the aircraft.
