NOTE: You can use the bleed air supply as an alternative to the ground air supply to do the leak check.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 38-41-00-941-053-A
A. Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position at Zone 171.

B. Open the access panel 171AL.
Subtask 38-41-00-480-053-A
C. Connect the GROUND AIR-SUPPLY UNIT(HIGH PRESSURE) to the ground air-pressure port.
4. Procedure

A. Do the Leak Check
   (1) Apply soap solution to the applicable connection(s).
   (2) Operate the ground air-supply cart and pressurize the potable water system to 44 +3 psi or -3 psi (3.0337 +0.2068 bar or -0.2068 bar).
   (3) Examine the connection(s) for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
   (4) Clean the connection(s).
   (5) Release the pressure from the potable water system.

A. Disconnect the ground air-supply cart.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the potable-water service panel-door 171AL.
NOTE: Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and that the door makes a continuous surface with the skin of the aircraft.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
