B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to push the APU BLEED pushbutton switch.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable access door 312AR, 314AR, 315AL and 316AR.
Subtask 36-12-11-010-050-A (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to push the APU BLEED pushbutton switch.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the applicable access door 312AR, 314AR, 315AL and 316AR.
C. Get Access
(1) Get access to the spring rods from the aft cargo compartment as follows:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Get access to the spring rods between the FR65 and FR70 as follows:
1 Remove partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(2) Get access to the spring rods between FR70 and FR77 as follows:
(a) Open access door 312AR.
(3) Get access to the spring rods between FR77 and FR80 as follows:
(a) Open access door 314AR.
(4) Get access to the spring rods aft of FR80 as follows:
(a) Open access doors 315AL and 316AR.
4. Procedure(1) Get access to the spring rods from the aft cargo compartment as follows:
(a) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Get access to the spring rods between the FR65 and FR70 as follows:
1 Remove partition panel 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(2) Get access to the spring rods between FR70 and FR77 as follows:
(a) Open access door 312AR.
(3) Get access to the spring rods between FR77 and FR80 as follows:
(a) Open access door 314AR.
(4) Get access to the spring rods aft of FR80 as follows:
(a) Open access doors 315AL and 316AR.

A. Removal of the Spring Rods
(2) Hold the spring rod (4) and remove the bolts (1) from the brackets.
(3) Remove the spring rod (4) from the brackets.
NOTE: The removal procedure for all spring rods is the same.
(1) Remove the nuts (3) and the washers (2) from the bolts (1). (2) Hold the spring rod (4) and remove the bolts (1) from the brackets.
(3) Remove the spring rod (4) from the brackets.
