(1) On the EXT LT section of the overhead panel 25VU:

Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the wing and engine scan light.

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 33-49-00-440-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Reactivation of the Wing and Engine Scan Light Lens (Cover)
(1) Remove the tape cover from the scan light hole.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with WATER - SOAPY SOLUTION.
(3) Install a new wing and engine scan light lens.
(a) Put in position the wing and engine scan light lens.
(b) Install the screws in the wing and engine scan light lens.
(c) Tighten the four screws.
(4) Record in the aircraft technical logbook that the wing and engine scan light lens has been reactivated.

Subtask 33-49-00-440-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Reactivation of the Wing and Engine Scan-Light Lens (Cover)
(1) Remove the tape cover from the scan-light hole.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
(3) Dry the surface around the wing and engine scan-light hole with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Install a new wing and engine scan-light lens.
(a) Install the screws in the wing and engine scan-light lens.
(b) TORQUE the six screws to between 7.42 and 6.58 lbf.in (0.08 and 0.07 m.daN )

(5) Make a record in the aircraft technical logbook to tell that the wing and engine scan-light lens is reactivated.

5. Close-up
Subtask 33-49-00-865-054-A

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
