Subtask 33-46-12-020-057-A
A. Removal of the Lens and the Mirror
(1) For the TELEFLEX taxi light:
(a) Remove the screw (1), the washer (2) and the insulating washer (3).
(b) Remove the clamp (4).
(c) Remove the lamp:
(d) Disconnect the two electrical terminals:
(e) Pull the lens (5) away from the mirror (10).
(f) Remove the two screws (6) and the two washers (7).
(g) Carefully remove and keep the halogen bulb (9).
(h) If the gasket (11) on the support (13) is defective, remove and discard it.
(2) For the HONEYWELL taxi light:
(a) Remove the four screws (1).
(b) Remove the retainer (2).
(c) Remove the lamp:
(d) Disconnect the two electrical terminals:
(e) Pull the lens (3) away from the mirror (8).
(f) Remove the two screws (4) and the two washers (5).
(g) Carefully remove and keep the halogen bulb (7).
(h) If the gasket (9) on the support (11) is defective, remove and discard it.
Subtask 33-46-12-420-057-A (1) For the TELEFLEX taxi light:
(a) Remove the screw (1), the washer (2) and the insulating washer (3).
(b) Remove the clamp (4).
(c) Remove the lamp:
CAUTION:
HOLD THE LAMP FIRMLY UNTIL IT IS FULLY DISCONNECTED. DO NOT PULL OR TWIST THE WIRES. THE WIRES WILL BECOME DAMAGED IF YOU PULL OR TWIST THEM, OR IF THE LAMP FALLS AND HANGS AT THE END OF THE WIRES.
1 Pull the lamp away from the support (13). (d) Disconnect the two electrical terminals:
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE LAMP TOO FAR OUT OF THE LIGHT. THE WIRES CONNECTED TO THE LAMP WILL BECOME DAMAGED IF YOU PULL OR TWIST THEM.
1 Disconnect the two electrical terminals (12) from the terminal studs. (e) Pull the lens (5) away from the mirror (10).
(f) Remove the two screws (6) and the two washers (7).
(g) Carefully remove and keep the halogen bulb (9).
(h) If the gasket (11) on the support (13) is defective, remove and discard it.
(2) For the HONEYWELL taxi light:
(a) Remove the four screws (1).
(b) Remove the retainer (2).
(c) Remove the lamp:
CAUTION:
HOLD THE LAMP FIRMLY UNTIL IT IS FULLY DISCONNECTED. DO NOT PULL OR TWIST THE WIRES. THE WIRES WILL BECOME DAMAGED IF YOU PULL OR TWIST THEM, OR IF THE LAMP FALLS AND HANGS AT THE END OF THE WIRES.
1 Pull the lamp away from the support (11). (d) Disconnect the two electrical terminals:
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE LAMP TOO FAR OUT OF THE LIGHT. THE WIRES CONNECTED TO THE LAMP WILL BECOME DAMAGED IF YOU PULL OR TWIST THEM.
1 Disconnect the two electrical terminals (10) from the terminal studs. (e) Pull the lens (3) away from the mirror (8).
(f) Remove the two screws (4) and the two washers (5).
(g) Carefully remove and keep the halogen bulb (7).
(h) If the gasket (9) on the support (11) is defective, remove and discard it.
B. Installation of the Lens and the Mirror
(1) For the TELEFLEX taxi light:
(a) Do a check of the halogen lamp (9) condition. If the halogen bulb (9) is damaged, replace it with a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-050 HALOGEN BULB (9).
(b) Carefully put the halogen bulb (9) in position on a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-020 MIRROR (10).
(d) Tighten the two screws (6). Tighten the two screws (6) again a quarter turn after contact.
(e) Install a new AIPC 33-46-12-01-110 GASKET (11) on the support (13).
(f) Connect the two electrical wires:
(g) Put a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-010 LENS (5) in position on the mirror (10) with the halogen bulb (9) installed.
(h) Install the lamp:
(i) Do a check of the clamp (4) condition. If the clamp (4) is twisted, replace it with a new AIPC 33-46-12-01-010 CLAMP (4).
(j) Put the clamp (4) in position.
(k) Install the insulating washer (3), the washer (2) and the screw (1).
(l) Compress the clamp (4) with your hand.
(m) Put a gage with a thickness of 7 mm (0.28 in.) between the two brackets of the clamp (4).
(n) Tighten the screw (1) until the two brackets touch the gage. Be careful not to twist the clamp (4).
(o) Remove the gage.
(2) For the HONEYWELL taxi light:
(a) Do a check of the halogen lamp (7) condition. If the halogen bulb (7) is damaged, replace it with a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-050 HALOGEN BULB (7).
(b) Carefully put the halogen bulb (7) in position on a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-020 MIRROR (8).
(d) Tighten the two screws (4). Tighten the two screws (4) again a quarter turn after contact.
(e) Install a new AIPC 33-46-12-01-090 GASKET (9) on the support (11).
(f) Connect the two electrical wires:
(g) Put a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-010 LENS (3) in position on the mirror (8) with the halogen bulb (7) installed.
(h) Install the lamp:
(i) Put the retainer (2) in position.
(j) Install the four screws (1).
(k) Tighten the four screws (1).
Subtask 33-46-12-865-072-A (1) For the TELEFLEX taxi light:
(a) Do a check of the halogen lamp (9) condition. If the halogen bulb (9) is damaged, replace it with a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-050 HALOGEN BULB (9).
(b) Carefully put the halogen bulb (9) in position on a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-020 MIRROR (10).
NOTE: The end of the pinched seal (8) must point forward.
(c) Install the two washers (7) and the two screws (6). (d) Tighten the two screws (6). Tighten the two screws (6) again a quarter turn after contact.
(e) Install a new AIPC 33-46-12-01-110 GASKET (11) on the support (13).
(f) Connect the two electrical wires:
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES WHEN YOU CONNECT THE TERMINALS TO THE LAMP. IF YOU PULL THE WIRES, YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
1 Connect the two electrical wires (12) to the terminal studs. (g) Put a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-010 LENS (5) in position on the mirror (10) with the halogen bulb (9) installed.
(h) Install the lamp:
CAUTION:
HOLD THE LAMP FIRMLY WHEN YOU INSTALL IT. DO NOT PULL OR TWIST THE WIRES. THE WIRES WILL BECOME DAMAGED IF YOU PULL OR TWIST THEM, OR IF THE LAMP FALLS AND HANGS AT THE END OF THE WIRES.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GASKET IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION. IF NOT, YOU CAN DECREASE THE LIFE OF THE LAMP.
1 Put the lamp in position on the support (13). (i) Do a check of the clamp (4) condition. If the clamp (4) is twisted, replace it with a new AIPC 33-46-12-01-010 CLAMP (4).
(j) Put the clamp (4) in position.
(k) Install the insulating washer (3), the washer (2) and the screw (1).
(l) Compress the clamp (4) with your hand.
(m) Put a gage with a thickness of 7 mm (0.28 in.) between the two brackets of the clamp (4).
(n) Tighten the screw (1) until the two brackets touch the gage. Be careful not to twist the clamp (4).
(o) Remove the gage.
(2) For the HONEYWELL taxi light:
(a) Do a check of the halogen lamp (7) condition. If the halogen bulb (7) is damaged, replace it with a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-050 HALOGEN BULB (7).
(b) Carefully put the halogen bulb (7) in position on a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-020 MIRROR (8).
NOTE: The end of the pinched seal (6) must point forward.
(c) Install the two washers (5) and the two screws (4). (d) Tighten the two screws (4). Tighten the two screws (4) again a quarter turn after contact.
(e) Install a new AIPC 33-46-12-01-090 GASKET (9) on the support (11).
(f) Connect the two electrical wires:

DO NOT PULL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES WHEN YOU CONNECT THE TERMINALS TO THE LAMP. IF YOU PULL THE WIRES, YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
1 Connect the two electrical wires to the terminal studs. (g) Put a new AIPC 33-46-12-02-010 LENS (3) in position on the mirror (8) with the halogen bulb (7) installed.
(h) Install the lamp:
CAUTION:
HOLD THE LAMP FIRMLY WHEN YOU INSTALL IT. DO NOT PULL OR TWIST THE WIRES. THE WIRES WILL BECOME DAMAGED IF YOU PULL OR TWIST THEM, OR IF THE LAMP FALLS AND HANGS AT THE END OF THE WIRES.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GASKET IS IN THE CORRECT POSITION. IF NOT, YOU CAN DECREASE THE LIFE OF THE LAMP.
1 Put the lamp in position on the support (11). (i) Put the retainer (2) in position.
(j) Install the four screws (1).
(k) Tighten the four screws (1).
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
