Reactivation of the Landing Lights

  • THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
  • COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF FUEL CONTAMINATION IN THE LANDING LIGHT ASSEMBLY. IF YOU FIND FUEL CONTAMINATION, NO PERSON MUST OPERATE THE LANDING LIGHT UNTIL:
  • YOU REPAIR THE FUEL LEAK
  • YOU REPLACE THE LANDING LIGHT ASSEMBLY.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, IGNITION OF THE REMAINING FUEL IN THE LANDING LIGHT CAN OCCUR.

   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on panel 25VU to tell persons not to operate the landing lights.

   (1) Make sure the applicable landing light 7LB(8LB) is retracted.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable zone 571(671).

4. Procedure
Subtask 33-42-00-440-050-A
A. Reactivation of the Landing Lights
   (1) Remove the high speed tape from the opening of the applicable landing light 7LB(8LB).
   (2) Remove the applicable landing light 7LB(8LB) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-42-11-000-001).
   (3) Install the applicable landing light 7LB(8LB) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-42-11-400-003).
   (4) Write a note in the aircraft technical log that the applicable landing light 7LB(8LB) is reactivated.
