Removal of the NLG Leg Door-Assembly for Access

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

This procedure is only applicable if you remove the leg door assembly for access only.
For the applicable removal procedure of the leg door assembly for replacement, Ref. TASK 32-22-15-000-001.

Subtask 32-22-15-941-052-A

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the right-center instrument panel (400VU), put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear control lever.
(2) In the cockpit, on the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-22-15-020-051-A

A. Removal of the Leg Door from its Attachments

NOTE: Do not change the adjustment of the rod (11), the rod end of the link assembly (1) and the rod ends of the fitting assembly (9).

(1) Remove the nut (4) and the bolt (2).
(2) Disconnect the rod end of the link assembly (1) from the leg door (5).
(3) Remove the two bushes (3) from the leg door (5).
(4) Disconnect the rod (11) from the leg door (5).
(5) Hold the leg door (5) and remove the nuts (6) and the bolts (7).
(6) Remove the bushes (8) and (10).
(7) Disconnect the leg door (5) from the fitting assembly (9).
(8) Remove the leg door (5).
