A. Safety Precaution
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to operate the nose wheel steering system:

- on the brake pedals
- on the nose wheel steering handwheel (18VU, 19VU).
Subtask 32-21-41-420-050-A
A. Installation of the NLG Towing Attachment
(1) Clean the removed parts with Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) and dry them with compressed air.
(2) Apply a light coat of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the threads of the bolts (1).
(3) Install the NLG towing attachment (7) on the leg.
(4) Install the washers (2), the bolts (1), the washers (3) and (4) and the nuts (5).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 5.2 and 4.4 m.daN (38.35 and 32.45 lbf.ft ).
(6) Safety the nuts with new AIPC 32-21-13-12-010 COTTER PINS (6) or AIPC 32-21-13-22-010 COTTER PINS (6).
(7) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Brushable - (Material No.06ABA1) in the areas E.
(8) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet - (Material No.06ABB1) in the areas F.
5. Close-up(1) Clean the removed parts with Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) and dry them with compressed air.
(2) Apply a light coat of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the threads of the bolts (1).
(3) Install the NLG towing attachment (7) on the leg.
(4) Install the washers (2), the bolts (1), the washers (3) and (4) and the nuts (5).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (5) to between 5.2 and 4.4 m.daN (38.35 and 32.45 lbf.ft )
