(1) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is installed on the flap and slat control lever.

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in positions that follow before you start the work on the ice protection system: - On the high-pressure ground-power connections, to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system
- In the cockpit, to tell persons not to operate the engines or APU control switch
- On the panel 30VU, to tell persons not to pressurize the bleed air system
- On the panel 114VU, to tell persons not to operate the slat controls.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Make sure that applicable access panels 522AB(622AB) are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004).
Subtask 30-11-51-860-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Make sure that applicable access panels 522AB(622AB) are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004).

(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Make sure that applicable access panels 522YB ( 622YB) are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 30-11-51-420-051-A (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE ANTI-ICE DUCTS UNTIL THEY ARE COOL. THE TEMPERATURE OF THE DUCTS STAYS HIGH FOR SOME TIME AFTER THE ENGINE STOPS.
B. Installation of the Anti-Ice Valve Filter (for the Part Numbers (PN) SAS911-002A and SAS912-002A) NOTE: The anti-ice control valve with the PN SAS912-002A is not approved for the Extended Range Operations for Two-Engine Aeroplanes (ETOPS).
(1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the anti-ice control valve. (2) Install the new AIPC 30-11-51-02-190 O-RING (5) on the filter (4).
(3) Install the filter (4) in the anti-ice control valve.
(4) Install the new AIPC 30-11-51-02-110 O-RING (3) on the cap (2).
(5) Install the caps (2) and (1).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(6) Safety the caps (1) and (2) with C. Installation of the Anti-ice Valve Filter (for part number 38E93-X)
(1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the anti-ice control valve.
(2) Install the new AIPC 30-11-51-02-270 PACKING (10) and the new AIPC 30-11-51-02-260 PACKING (11) on the filter (12).
(3) Install the filter (12) on the anti-ice control valve.
(4) TORQUE the filter (12) to between 95 and 90 lbf.in (1.07 and 1.02 m.daN )

(7) TORQUE the cap (13) to between 60 and 40 lbf.in (0.68 and 0.45 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the anti-ice control valve.
(2) Install the new AIPC 30-11-51-02-270 PACKING (10) and the new AIPC 30-11-51-02-260 PACKING (11) on the filter (12).
(3) Install the filter (12) on the anti-ice control valve.
(4) TORQUE the filter (12) to between 95 and 90 lbf.in (1.07 and 1.02 m.daN )

C. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) On panel 114VU, remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap and slat control lever.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the SAFETY BARRIERS.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) On panel 114VU, remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap and slat control lever.
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Anti-Ice Valve Filter (SAS911-002A and SAS912-002A)
