A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the RH main door of the main gear.
(7) Make sure that the CONTAINER 2 L (0.53 USGAL) is in position below the connections of the manifold (1146GM) to collect unwanted fluid.
(8) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-19-41-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the RH main door of the main gear.
(7) Make sure that the CONTAINER 2 L (0.53 USGAL) is in position below the connections of the manifold (1146GM) to collect unwanted fluid.
(8) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 29-19-41-910-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Remove the sealant from the mating surface of the manifold (1) and the aircraft structure with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Examine the structure of the aircraft in the area of the manifold attachment for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
(3) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surface of the manifold (1).
Subtask 29-19-41-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the sealant from the mating surface of the manifold (1) and the aircraft structure with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Examine the structure of the aircraft in the area of the manifold attachment for cracks, corrosion or other damage.
(3) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the mating surface of the manifold (1).
B. Installation of the Ground Leakage-Measurement Manifold (1146GM)
(2) Remove the blanking plugs from the pipe end-fittings and the unions on the manifold (1).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.
(5) Connect the pipe (16) to the union (18).
(6) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (17) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )

(7) Connect the pipe (15) to the union (13).
(8) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (14) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
.
(9) Connect the pipe (10) to the union (12).
(10) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (11) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(11) Connect the pipe (7) to the union (9).
(12) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (8) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
.
(13) Connect the pipe (6) to the union (4).
(14) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (5) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(15) Tighten the bolts (2).
Subtask 29-19-41-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
(1) Put the manifold (1) in position on the aircraft and install the bolts (2) and the washers (3). Do not tighten the bolts (2). (2) Remove the blanking plugs from the pipe end-fittings and the unions on the manifold (1).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Apply the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.
(5) Connect the pipe (16) to the union (18).
(6) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (17) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
. (7) Connect the pipe (15) to the union (13).
(8) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (14) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
. (9) Connect the pipe (10) to the union (12).
(10) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (11) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Preparation for the Test
(1) Connect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(5) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(6) On the maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/G pushbutton switch is set to on (OFF light not on).
Subtask 29-19-41-710-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Connect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(5) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(6) On the maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVES/G pushbutton switch is set to on (OFF light not on).
E. Test
(1) Make sure there are no leaks from any of the connections or from the manifold.
(2) Turn the three manual selector valves from the CLOSED to the OPEN position and back to the CLOSED position. Make sure that the valves are free to turn and have no leaks.
5. Close-up(1) Make sure there are no leaks from any of the connections or from the manifold.

Subtask 29-19-41-860-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Remove the container from below the manifold (1).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Close the right hand main door of the Main-Landing-Gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(6) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(7) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(1) Remove the container from below the manifold (1).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Close the right hand main door of the Main-Landing-Gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(6) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(7) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
