A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.

   (1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is below the applicable zone 470(480).
   (4) Make sure that the applicable access panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-16-42-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Lubricate the new AIPC 28-16-05-07-040 O-RING (1) and the new AIPC 28-16-06-01-120 SEAL (8) with Turbine Fuel-- Kerosene - (Material No.01ABA1) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) .

B. Installation of the Fuel Recirculation Check-Valve
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Install the new O-ring (1) on the check valve (2).
   (2) Remove the blanking caps from the disconnected lines.
   (3) Attach the check valve (2) to the mounting block and install the new AIPC 28-16-05-07-020 TAB WASHERS (6) and the bolts (7).
   (4) Bend the ends of the tab washers (6) to lock the bolts (7).
   (5) Install the new seal (8) between the check valve (2) and the flange then install the washers (9), the bolts (10) and the plates (11). Safety the bolts (10) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (6) Connect the bonding strip (4) to the bonding lug and install the bolts (3) and the nuts (5) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

C. Preparation for Installation

D. Installation of the Fuel Recirculation Check-Valve

   (1) Install the new O-ring (1) on the check valve (2).
   (2) Remove the blanking caps from the disconnected lines.
   (3) Attach the check valve (2) to the mounting block and install the new AIPC 28-16-05-07-020 TAB WASHERS (7) or AIPC 28-16-85-01-020 TAB WASHERS (7) and the bolts (8).
   (4) Bend the ends of the tab washers (7) to lock the bolts (8).
   (5) Install the new seal (9) between the check valve (2) and the flange then install the washers (10), the bolts (11) and the plates (12). Safety the bolts (11) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (6) Connect the bonding strips (4) and (5) to the bonding lug and install the bolts (3) and the nuts (6) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

   (1) Do an operational test of the applicable check valve (Ref. AMM TASK 28-16-00-710-002).
