A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the flaps and slats are in the fully retracted position (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized.

A. Installation of the Lighted Plate
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the lighted plate (20) on the control lever assembly (19).
(4) Install the screws (11) and tighten them.
(5) Install the index (15) on the lever (18).
(6) Install the new AIPC 27-51-43-01-040 PIN (16) through the levers (17) and (18).
(7) Installation of the set screw
(b) Make sure that the pin (16) is correctly safetied, (that it does not move laterally when you push it).
(c) TORQUE the set screw (14) to between 0.022 and 0.018 m.daN (1.95 and 1.59 lbf.in ).
(d) Apply Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative External Structure (Material No.04JMD3) to the pin (16).
(8) Install the handle (12) on the lever (18).
(9) Install the screw (13) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) and tighten.
Subtask 27-51-43-865-055-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the lighted plate (20) on the control lever assembly (19).
(4) Install the screws (11) and tighten them.
(5) Install the index (15) on the lever (18).
(6) Install the new AIPC 27-51-43-01-040 PIN (16) through the levers (17) and (18).
(7) Installation of the set screw
CAUTION:
DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SET SCREW TOO MUCH. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PIN.
(a) Install the set screw (14) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) into the lever (17), until the set screw touches the pin (16). (b) Make sure that the pin (16) is correctly safetied, (that it does not move laterally when you push it).
(c) TORQUE the set screw (14) to between 0.022 and 0.018 m.daN (1.95 and 1.59 lbf.in )
. (d) Apply Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative External Structure (Material No.04JMD3) to the pin (16).
(8) Install the handle (12) on the lever (18).
(9) Install the screw (13) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) and tighten.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
