A. Replacement of the Discharge Indicator Disk
PRE VSB 18603-26-1
(1) Remove the snap ring (5) from the housing (1).
(2) Remove and discard the retainer (4) and the disc (3).
(3) Remove and discard the packing (2). Use a pointed plastic or wooden dowel to do this.

(5) Remove and discard the disc assembly (3).

B. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make an inspection of the discharge indicator components.
(2) Loosen the unwanted material from the internal surfaces, shoulders and grooves of the housing (1) with a BRUSH - BRISTLED, FIBER, STIFF.
(3) Use a BRUSH - BRISTLED, FIBER, SOFT with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and clean all metallic parts. Pay special attention to the internal areas and grooves.
(4) Dry all parts fully with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Subtask 26-22-43-420-050-A (1) Make an inspection of the discharge indicator components.

C. Installation of the Discharge Indicator Disk
PRE VSB 18603-26-1
(1) Install the new AIPC 26-22-43-01-040 PACKING (2) in the internal face groove in the housing (1).
(2) Install and align the new AIPC 26-22-43-01-030 DISC (3) and the retainer (4) over the installed packing (2).
(3) Compress the retainer (4) onto the disc (3) and install the snap ring (5) in its groove.

(4) Install the new AIPC 26-22-43-01-040 PACKING (2) in the internal face groove in the housing (1).
(5) Install and align the new AIPC 26-22-43-01-030 DISC (3) over the installed packing (2).
(6) Compress the disc assembly (3) and install the snap ring (4) in its groove.
