(1) Open the forward cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the opening of the forward cargo compartment door.

A. Get Access
(1) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the control panel of the forward Cargo-Loading-System (CLS) to tell persons not to use it.

A. Removal of the Tie-Down and Net Attachment Fittings from the Floor Area

Tie-Down and Net Attachment Fittings - FWD Cargo-Compartment Floor Area ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Remove the cargo net(s) (6), if installed:
(a) Disconnect the net fittings (7) from the applicable net attachment fittings of the cargo-compartment floor and ceiling areas.
(b) Remove the cargo net(s) (6).
(2) Remove the tie-down points (2):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down points (2) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down point (2) only is given here.

(a) Remove the screws (1) from the tie-down point (2).
(b) Remove the tie-down point (2) from the structure (3).
(3) Remove the seat-track section (5):
(a) Remove the screws (4) from the seat-track section (5).
(b) Remove the seat-track section (5) from the structure (3).
(4) Remove the tie-down points (9):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down points (9) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down point (9) only is given here.

(a) Remove the screws (8) from the tie-down point (9).
(b) Remove the tie-down point (9) from the plug housing (10).
(c) If necessary, remove the plug housing (10) from the structure (3).
(5) Remove the tie-down fittings (12):

(a) Remove the screws (11) from the tie-down fitting (12).

(1) Remove the cargo net(s) (1), if installed:
(a) Disconnect the net fittings (2) from the applicable net attachment fittings of the cargo-compartment floor and ceiling areas.
(b) Remove the cargo net(s) (1).
(2) Remove the tie-down points (4):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down points (4) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down point (4) only is given here.

(a) For the tie-down points (4) installed between FR35 and FR35.4:
1 Remove the nuts (6) and the screws (3) from the tie-down point (4).
(b) For the tie-down points (4) installed at all other frame positions:
1 Remove the screws (3) from the tie-down point (4).
(c) Remove the tie-down point (4) from the structure (5).
(3) Remove the seat-track section (8):
(a) Remove the screws (7) from the seat-track section (8).
(b) Remove the seat-track section (8) from the structure (5).
(4) Remove the tie-down points (10):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down points (10) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down point (10) only is given here.

(a) For the tie-down points (10) installed between FR35 and FR35.4:
1 Remove the nuts (12) and the screws (9) from the tie-down point (10).
(b) For the tie-down points (10) installed at all other frame positions:
1 Remove the screws (9) from the tie-down point (10).
(c) Remove the tie-down point (10) from the plug housing (11).
(d) Remove the plug housing (11) from the structure (5).
(5) Remove the tie-down fittings (14):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down fittings (14) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down fitting (14) only is given here.

(a) Remove the screws (13) from the tie-down fitting (14).
(b) Remove the tie-down fitting (14) from the structure (5).
(6) Remove the seat-track section (17):
(a) Remove the screws (15) and (16) from the seat-track section (17).
(b) Remove the seat-track section (17) from the structure (5).
(7) Remove the seat-track sections (20):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the seat-track sections (20) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one seat-track section (20) only is given here.

(a) Remove the screws (18) and (19) from the seat-track section (20).
(b) Remove the seat-track section (20) from the L-fitting (21).
(c) If necessary, remove the L-fitting (21):
1 Remove the screw (22) from the L-fitting (21).
2 Remove the L-fitting (21) from the structure (5).

(a) Disconnect the net fittings (8) from the applicable net attachment fittings of the cargo-compartment floor and ceiling areas.
(b) Remove the cargo net(s) (7).
(2) Remove the tie-down points (2):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down points (2) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down point (2) only is given here.

(a) For the tie-down points (2) installed between FR35 and FR35.4:
1 Remove the nuts (4), and remove the screws (1) from the tie-down point (2).
(b) For the tie-down points (2) installed at all other frame positions:
1 Remove the screws (1) from the tie-down point (2).
(c) Remove the tie-down point (2) from the structure (3).
(3) Remove the seat-track section (6):
(a) Remove the screws (5) from the seat-track section (6).
(b) Remove the seat-track section (6) from the structure (3).
(4) Remove the tie-down points (10):

(a) For the tie-down points (10) installed between FR35 and FR35.4:

(b) Remove the cargo net(s) (7).
(2) Remove the stanchion fitting (2):
(a) Remove the screws (3) from the stanchion fitting (2).
(b) Remove the stanchion fitting (2) from the structure (1).
(3) Remove the tie-down points (4):

NOTE: The removal procedure for all the tie-down points (4) is the same. Therefore, the removal procedure for one tie-down point (4) only is given here.

(a) Remove the screws (5) from the tie-down point (4).
(b) Remove the tie-down point (4) from the structure (1).
(4) Remove the tie-down points (9):

(a) Remove the screws (10) from the tie-down point (9).
(b) Remove the tie-down point (9) from the spacer (8).
(c) If necessary, remove the spacer (8):
