A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the forward and/or aft cargo-compartment door is opened (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the opening of the applicable cargo-compartment door.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position at the applicable control panel of the cargo loading system.

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the bore for the ball unit (3) is clean.

Subtask 25-52-23-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Installation of the Ball Unit

NOTE: The installation of the ball unit to the ball mats and the ball strips is the same.

(1) Put the ball unit (3) in position in the bore.
(2) Push the ball unit (3) down into the bore.
(3) Make sure that the attachment pins (1) are correctly engaged.

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
