A. Get Access
(1) Remove the third occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-000-001).

A. Removal of the Third Occupant-Seat Safety-Harness

Third Occupant-Seat Safety-Harness ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Open the seat and put the SHIM - WOODEN to hold it in the open position.
(2) Remove the cushions (1), (9) and (15) that are attached with velcro tape from the third occupant seat.

NOTE: The seat cushion includes the cover and the foam.

(3) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(4) Hold the lap belts (12) that are installed on the seat frame.
(5) Remove the belt attachment pins (14) and the washers (13).
(6) Remove the lap belts (12) from the seat frame.
(7) Discard the belt attachment pins (14).
(8) Remove the nut (16).
(9) Remove the screw (20), the washer (19) and the spacer (18).
(10) Remove the crotch strap (21) from the seat bottom assembly (17).
(11) Hold the backrest assembly (10).

CAUTION: WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SCREWS, MAKE SURE THAT YOU RECORD THE CORRECT POSITION OF EACH OF THEM. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS.

(12) Remove the screws (8) and the washers (7).
(13) Remove the screws (11).
(14) Remove the backrest assembly (10) from the third occupant seat.
(15) Hold the aft cover (4) that is installed on the rear of the third occupant seat.
(16) Remove the plastic rivets (3) and discard them.
(17) Remove the aft cover (4) from the rear of the third occupant seat.
(18) Hold the reel assembly (24) and disconnect the cable (25) from it.
(19) Remove the nuts (22) and the spacers (23).
(20) Remove the screws (26).
(21) Remove the reel assembly (24) from the third occupant seat.

(11) Remove the screws (8) and the washers (7).
(12) Remove the screws (11).
(13) Remove the backrest assembly (10) from the third occupant seat.
(14) Hold the aft cover (4) that is installed on the rear of the third occupant seat.
(15) Remove the plastic rivets (3) and discard them.
(16) Remove the aft cover (4) from the rear of the third occupant seat.
(17) Hold the reel assembly (22) and disconnect the cable (23) from it.
(18) Remove the nuts (20) and the spacers (21).
(19) Remove the screws (24).
(20) Remove the reel assembly (22) from the third occupant seat.
