Removal of the External Power Receptacle

MAKE SURE THAT NO AC OR DC POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION IF THE AC OR DC POWER STAYS CONNECTED.

A. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE at the access door 811.
(2) Open the access door 811.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE at the access door 121AL.
(4) Open the access door 121AL.
Subtask 24-41-51-941-050-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE at the access door 811.
(2) Open the access door 811.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE at the access door 121AL.
(4) Open the access door 121AL.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft receptacle.
(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
(3) In the cockpit, on the overhead ELEC panel 35VU, release these pushbutton switches:

(2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
(3) In the cockpit, on the overhead ELEC panel 35VU, release these pushbutton switches:
- BAT 1, BAT 2,
- APU GEN,
- GEN 1, GEN 2,
- EXT PWR.
- 21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
- 35VU (ELEC).

A. Removal of the External Power Receptacle
(2) Remove the four nuts (18), lock-washers (19) and washers (17).
(3) Remove the protective cover (1).
(4) Loosen the four nuts (2).
(5) Remove the four nuts (2), lock-washers (3) and washers (4).
(6) Remove the four electrical wires (5).
(7) Loosen the two nuts (6).
(8) Remove the two nuts (6), lock-washers (7) and washers (8).
(9) Remove the two electrical wires (9).
(10) Loosen the three screws (10).
(11) Remove the three screws (10) and washers (11).
(12) Loosen the four studs (16).
(13) Remove the four studs (16) and washers (15).
(14) Remove the external power receptacle (14).
(15) Remove and discard the seal (13).
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Loosen the four nuts (18). (2) Remove the four nuts (18), lock-washers (19) and washers (17).
(3) Remove the protective cover (1).
(4) Loosen the four nuts (2).
(5) Remove the four nuts (2), lock-washers (3) and washers (4).
(6) Remove the four electrical wires (5).
(7) Loosen the two nuts (6).
(8) Remove the two nuts (6), lock-washers (7) and washers (8).
(9) Remove the two electrical wires (9).
(10) Loosen the three screws (10).
(11) Remove the three screws (10) and washers (11).
(12) Loosen the four studs (16).
(13) Remove the four studs (16) and washers (15).
(14) Remove the external power receptacle (14).
(15) Remove and discard the seal (13).
